After a beautiful church service this morning, I was struck with how wonderful and transforming God’s forgiveness is!
So, today’s inspiration is a quote from one of my daughter’s favorite Christian authors, Melody Carlson. My daughter grew up reading her book, “Diary of a Teenage Girl”, as well as the sequel books and related series. I also read the books, and have a special place in my heart for the identifiable stories and the Christian lessons they impart.
The quote I love from Melody is:
“I have become convinced that God thoroughly enjoys fixing and saving things that are broken. That means that no matter how hurt and defeated you feel, no matter how badly you have been damaged, God can repair you. God can give anyone a second chance. “

If you’ve had brokenness in your family, or feel that you should give up, God indeed can mend things beyond your comprehension. All you have to do is pray, and try to take the teachings of Jesus into your heart.
